The first step in the Realignment Process is for the Realignment Sub Committees for each Conference to meet the third week in January, 1999. One league representative from each league in the conference sits on that committee. Their purpose is to review and discuss any proposals for basic league realignment that are forwarded to them from member schools or leagues and/or to formulate their own proposals. The FIRST meeting of these committees is noted below. Proposals MUST be submitted to the Chairperson prior to the meeting, or at the meeting itself.
This notice will be sent to all member schools on January 4, 1999.

Northern Conference Member School Principals.
A meeting of the entire conference was scheduled for Thursday,
March 25, 9:00 am at the SMUHSD SMART Center.

CENTRAL CONFERENCE

A complete report from the Chairman will be posted by the first of
February. However, no proposals for basic league changes were received by the
Committee and therefore, no future meetings of the Sub Committee will be scheduled.
The dates and locations of the Conference Meeting will be posted at the same time the
specific meeting information is posted (e.g. those in attendance, any discussion items,
etc.) A mailing to all Southern Conference schools will be ensue following receipt
of the minutes of the meeting.
No proposals were generated following the mailing and so the report from the Southern
Conference to the CCS Board of Managers will be no changes to realignment with the
exception of the inclusion of the new schools joining the conference which have been
approved earlier by the CCS Board of Managers. (Greenfield, Soledad and Scotts
Valley HS)
A complete report from the Chairman will be posted by the first of February. There were four proposals received and discussed by the Sub Committee. They have scheduled another meeting for Thursday, February 11 at the San Mateo Union High School District SMART Center at 9:00 am. All those interested in providing input to the Committee regarding Northern Conference Basic League Realignment proposals are encouraged to attend. A comprehensive report, notice of the next meeting and copies of the proposals presented will be mailed to ALL Northern Conference schools January 27th or 28th.
A meeting on March 25 of all conference schools was held. A quorum of northern conference schools was not present and the meeting was re-scheduled for Monday, April 12 at 9:00 am. See above for details.

No proposals to change basic league alignment in the Central Conference were received and the Committee did not develop any proposals of their own and, therefore, no further meetings of the sub committee will be scheduled. No proposals were received and the report to the CCS Board of Managers from the Central Conference will be no change in current league alignments (status quo)
