Chairman Avelar welcomed everyone and took roll.  It was declared that 30 schools were present and that a quorum existed to conduct business.  (30 schools were present at the beginning of the meeting, by the time the vote was taken, 35 schools were represented).

After reviewing the Agenda, Chairman Avelar asked if there were any additional proposals to be submitted for consideration.  None were forthcoming and so he proceeded through the agenda and presented the Committee's proposal.  Discussion ensued centered around the rationale for including Menlo School in the PAL.  Several schools voiced concern over a private school entering the PAL and dominating the league in girls sports.

Ballots were distributed and tabulated and the proposal of the Committee passed 20-15.

Nominations were then take for the Northern Conference Representative to the CCS Executive Committee.  Incumbent Terry Stogner was nominated.  No other nominations were made and by a verbal vote, Mr. Stogner won the election with no dissenting votes.

RATIONALE (not in any rank order)
1.    Puts schools with similar sport offerings and equitable competition together.
2.    Groups coed schools and girls-only schools into leagues made up primarily of the same type
        of schools.
2.    Divides fairly evenly the girls programs, so that each of the CPSAL, PSAL and GPSL have a
viable # of girls teams for their league, and no one league is disproportionate in that regard.
