DATES / TIMES / SITES:
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SITES AND TIMES OF PLAY: The CCS Commissioner and/or staff shall be responsible for all contracts for sites used during the CCS Play-offs. The CCS Commissioner and/or staff have sole authority to schedule or cancel sites, as well as full discretion as to the assignment or re-assignment of teams to times and sites throughout the CCS Play-offs. The CCS Commissioner and/or staff have the final authority in any disputes over sites or times of play, and the decision of the CCS Commissioner is not subject to appeal due to the immediacy of running the Tournament for the good of the whole. Neutral sites are not a policy of the CCS and should not be expected in any rounds of play. Sites will be assigned by the CCS for the good of the Tournament.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Due to probable larger crowds and, thus, possible delays in entering the playing venues (especially at the Finals), all parents and other spectators should be encouraged to plan their arrival times accordingly

Coaches are expected to come to the seeding meeting prepared to indicate an
available and playable location for a 1st round home game if they are
selected as the “high-seed”.
If a school is not prepared to indicate an acceptable site, the
opportunity to host will be awarded to the “lower-seed” .
HOME TEAM: The Home Team (higher-seeded team) shall wear white/light jerseys. The Home Team bench shall be to the left of the scorer's table when facing the center of the floor.
SCOREBOOK: The "Home Team" is responsible for providing the official scorer/scorebook for all contests prior to the Finals.
LOCKER ROOMS:
Teams should NOT assume
that there will be "full time" supervision of locker-room facilities
during Tournament play; therefore, it is incumbent upon teams to make their own
arrangements for safeguarding their personnel's valuables.
TEAM ROSTERS:
Official Team rosters are due to Justin Peterson, the CCS Tournament
Program printer (www.sectionsports.com/ccs/) on or before FEBRUARY 1ST.
In order to be included in the Tournament program, coaches must submit
rosters on-line by going to either the CCS web-site (www.cifccs.org,
then follow the prompts to "Play-offs/Basketball/Rosters"), or
go directly to the Section Sports web-site listed above. PLEASE DO NOT
SEND ROSTERS TO THE CCS OFFICE!
EQUIPMENT:
ALL GAMES will be played using a SPALDING
ball, the Official CCS Tournament Basketball.

FLOOR PASSES:
A. At 1st & 2nd-Round games, host schools are
encouraged to use their own floor passes, in coordination with visiting
schools.
B. At the Finals, coaches, stats-persons, team
managers, trainers and all other team personnel not in full uniform must
wear
a CCS-issued floor pass in order to have access to the team bench area on the
sidelines. (CCS staff will issue
the
appropriate supply of floor passes to the head coach upon his/her arrival at the
Finals venue.)
C. IMPORTANT! Floor passes are NOT valid for free
admission to the contest - they are only to be used for access to
the
team bench area during that team's contest.
PARKING:
A. For all contests located at college and municipal
facilities, parents and other spectators should be made aware that
there may be a charge for parking;
and should, therefore, allow extra time for possible delays.
B. CCS member-schools hosting 1st & 2nd-Round contests are
NOT allowed to charge for parking at any CCS Play-off
contest.
GAME
SUPERVISION:
Adequate student-spectator supervision MUST be provided by each
school participating in the Tournament. School administrators/faculty who
attend the contest should introduce themselves to the CCS Site Director, and
tell him/her where they will be located throughout the contest in case their
assistance is needed. It is the responsibility of the school supervisory
personnel to prevent and correct any inappropriate behavior of their students or
spectators.
SPORTSMANSHIP: See
CCS Tournament Guide – Section
12.
Any player or coach who is disqualified from a CCS Play-off contest for flagrant
misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior shall be disqualified from all remaining
contests in that sport that season, including Nor-Cal and CIF State
Championships.
TOURNAMENT T-SHIRTS / PINS:
While supplies last, official CCS T-Shirts ($12.00 each) and Participant
Pins ($1.00 each) will be available at the Seeding Meeting, as well as on sale
at Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals Tournament sites. The CCS
Tournament T-Shirt Order Form
is included in the CCS Tournament Guide.
RADIO / TV LICENSING:
CCS owns the broadcast rights for all CCS Play-off contests.
Licensing is required. To ensure coordination of appropriate paperwork and
fees, interested media must contact the CCS Commissioner well before the
respective contest to be broadcast. No live TV broadcasts are allowed.
