PROGRAM ROSTERS:
Official Team Rosters are due to Justin Peterson, the CCS Tournament Program printer (www.sectionsports.com/ccs/), no later than NOVEMBER 1st.  In order to be included in the Tournament program, coaches must submit rosters on-line by going to either the CCS web-site (www.cifccs.org, then follow prompts to "Play-offs/Field Hockey/Rosters"), or directly to the Section Sports web-site listed above.  PLEASE DO NOT SEND ROSTERS TO THE CCS OFFICE!

PRACTICE AT CHAMPIONSHIP SITE(S):
No arrangements for practice at competition sites are allowed by the CCS once the site of the Tournament has been announced by CCS.  See "General Tournament Information" Section of the CCS Tournament Guide for specific policy.  Schools found in violation of this rule may be barred from further participation in the Section Play-offs.

RAIN-OUT PROCEDURES:
A.
CCS has the final responsibility for determining whether a match will be played.  If a CCS staff member is not on
site, the Site Director will telephone the CCS office.  The decision will be based on the field conditions and the
safety of the players.  If the field is safe to use, the game will be played unless the authorities with whom
arrangements were made to use the field make a decision to the contrary.
B.    If at all possible, the decision to re-schedule a match will be made within two hours of the scheduled starting time of
the match.  If re-scheduled, the match will be played the following day (unless this falls on a Sunday).  The rain-out
procedure for completing the Tournament is to play day-by-day, with the exception of Sundays.

ADMISSION:
General Admission- $7        Seniors - $3        Student Discount (w/ASB card) - $3        Children under 12 - $2

GAME BALL:
Teams are responsible for providing Field Hockey balls for all matches.  The ball shall be hard and solid, shall meet all NF specifications, shall be a neutral color and shall be agreed to by both coaches.  If coaches cannot agree on the game ball, the Home Team coach will make the decision, following the guidelines herein.

SCOREKEEPER / SCOREBOOK:
The higher-seeded team is responsible to provide the official scorekeeper and scorebook through all rounds.

SPORTSMANSHIP:
A.
Each Principal is required by the CCS Board of Managers to meet with any team from his/her school participating
in the CCS Tournament to review CCS Sportsmanship Information.

(See TOURNAMENT GUIDE for REQUIRED PRE-GAME SPORTSMANSHIP MEETING INFORMATION SHEET)
B.    Coaches and Captains will meet with the Site Director 30 minutes prior to game-time to remind them of the
importance of good sportsmanship and to make certain their Administrator has reviewed this information with them
        in the past week.
C.    Administrators from both schools in each contest will attend a mandatory meeting with the Site Director 15 minutes
prior to game time.  (The coach cannot represent the school at this meeting.)

Any player or coach who is ejected from a CCS Tournament contest for FLAGRANT MISCONDUCT or
UNSPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOR will be disqualified from all remaining contests in that sport that season.

CHAMPIONSHIP T-SHIRTS AND PINS:
The Championship T-Shirts Order Form is located in the APPENDIX of the CCS Tournament Guide.  T-Shirts will be available at the seeding meeting for $12.00 each; orders can also be faxed/mailed to the CCS office.  Participant Pins are also available for $1 each, while supplies last.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES:
The CIF-Central Coast Section is well aware that many other school and non-school activities (AP tests, SAT/ACT tests, proms, plays, holidays, senior trips, religious days, etc.) may occur during CCS Play-offs.  The CCS tries to avoid as many conflicts as possible; however, with so many activities available for today's student-athlete, it is not reasonable to assume that all such activities can be taken into account, and thus, CCS Play-off events will go on as originally scheduled.  Participants and coaches are therefore expected to plan in advance for such possible scheduling conflicts and make those difficult choices as to which events will take precedence for that individual.  Generally, although it is ultimately the personal choice of the student-athlete and/or his/her parent(s), an academic activity should take precedence over an extra-curricular event.
