Guard Jessica Lieben scored 10 first quarter points, most on perimeter shots, and St. Ignatius was never pressed by Sacred Heart. Lieben finished with 21 points and scoring honors. The other guard, Maya Fok, was also deadly from outside and finished with 16.

Julie Randall hit a 15-foot jump shot with 14 seconds remaining to give the Mustangs the upset over No. 1-seeded Leland. The Chargers had a chance to even the score in the closing seconds but missed two shots from under the basket. Julie Spreckels led the scoring with 18 points, including 10 during a 22-point Homestead spree in the second quarter.

Notre Dame forced key turnovers and converted fast-break layups in the overtime period to nip Presentation. Trailing by three points late in the fourth quarter, Cheyenne Brown made an open three-pointer to send the game into overtime but the Tigers scored on their first three possessions to put the game away. Kelly Wetteland led Notre Dame with 18 points.
